He died in 1922 at the age of 85.⁵ He was buried in 1922 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Christian FABIAN Jr. and Christiane "Christine" LABUDE were married on 18 October 1869 in Milwaukee, Milwaukee Township, Milwaukee County, WI.^1,6,9 (The 1900 Census indicated that they had 10 children, of whom 9 were living at the time.) Christiane "Christine" LABUDE, daughter of Gottfried LABUDE and Hannah UNKNOWN (LABUDE), was born on 1 May 1849 in Preussen (Prussia).^2,9,10,11 (Her surname is believed to have been spelled "Labude," but it was listed as "Labuhn" on the baptism record of her son Ernst, and as "Labuds" on the Marriage Registration Certificates of her children Anna, Berta, Lena and Martha.)
