Von Ruden, 82, of Wilton, died Thursday, July 14, 2005, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. He was born April 16, 1923, to Victor and Jessie (Creviston) Von Ruden in the Town of Wellington. He was united in marriage to Annabelle Geier on Oct. 30, 1946, at Norwalk. They farmed on the home farm with his brother LaVern and his wife Irma until their retirement. He was a lifelong and faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wilton and served for many years as an usher at the church. He is survived by a son, Gary (Cathy) of Ontario; four grandchildren, Brittani, Mitchell, Allyson and Mark, all of Ontario; sisters-in-law Sylvia Von Ruden of Wilton, Connie (Carl) Lewis of Slaton, TX, Helen (Evan) Summerfield of Wilton, Marlene (Larry) Peth of Tomah, Berdella (Gerald) Butzler of Sparta, Karen Geier of Wilton, Bonnie Geier of Sparta, Karen Geier of La Crosse and Bertha Geier of Sparta; brothers-in-law Arnold (Mary Ann) Geier of Sparta and Larry (Myrtle) Geier of Tomah, In addition to his wife, Annabelle, he was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Galauner; three brothers, Glen, Lyle and LaVern; four brothers-in-law, Ike Geier, George Geier, Omer Geier and Wilbert Geier; two sisters-in-law, Irma Von Ruden and Adeline Donskey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 19, at 11 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Wilton. Rev. Brian D. Konopa will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the church." He was buried on 18 July 2005 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.8 in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery.
