Louis GEIER was born on 6 November 1862 in Preussen (Prussia).^2,3,4 He emigrated in 1879 from Preussen (Prussia).^3,4 He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ Louis died on 4 January 1941 at the age of 78 in Byron Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,3,4 Obituary Notes: "Louis Geier, 79, died at the home of his son, Alvin Geier at Tomah, January 4. Born in Germany, he came to America when he was 17 years of age and resided on a farm three miles south of Wilton for many years.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Otto Dagler of Wilton, Mrs. Frank Chopieska and Mrs. Robert H. Brabant of La Crosse; and two sons, Alvin Geier of Tomah and William Geier of Wilton; one sister in Germany, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tomah Tuesday afternoon, the Reverend H. Schaller officiating. Interment was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery at Wilton." He was buried on 7 January 1941 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,6 in the Wilton Cemetery.

Louis GEIER and Albertina C. SCHWARTZ were married on 4 October 1887 in South Dakota.^2,3,4 She had gone to South Dakota to visit a brother, when she met Louis Geier; they later married. (His obituary says they married in 1883.) Albertina C. SCHWARTZ, daughter of Johann Wilhelm Friedrich SCHWARTZ and Wilhelmine SCHRAP, was born on 29 September 1854 in Lomira, Dodge County, WI.^2,7 (In the 1880 Census, her name is spelled "Albertena.") She appeared in the census in 1860 in Lomira, Dodge County, WI.⁸ She appeared in the census in 1870 in Lomira, Dodge County, WI.⁹ Albertina appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ She died on 2 October 1947 at the age of 93 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,10 Albertina was buried in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Cemetery.
