Elizabeth "Jane" GETMAN was born on 12 May 1831 in Montgomery County, NY.^6,15,20 She appeared in the census in 1850 in Oconomowoc Township, Waukesha County, WI.²¹ She appeared in the census in 1860 in Waukesha County, WI.^49,69 Jane appeared in the census in 1870 in Waukesha County, WI.^69,70 She appeared in the census in 1900 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁰ She lived at her home in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI in October 1906.⁶⁴ Jane appeared in the census in 1910 in La Grange Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷¹ She was living with her daughter and her husband and was listed as an "Aunt.") She died on 16 September 1912 at the age of 81.^6,20

Elizabeth "Jane" GETMAN and James YOUNGS were married on 14 October 1856 in Oconomowoc, Waukesha County, WI.^6,15,20 Their witnesses were Nicholas Getman, John Shaven and Elizabeth Loos. James YOUNGS, son of Christopher YOUNGS and Barbara UNKNOWN (YOUNG), was born on 12 June 1816 in Taghkanic, Columbia County, NY.¹⁵ (His surname was listed as "Young" in his marriage record, but it was always listed as "Youngs" in the Census images.) He appeared in the census in 1860 in Waukesha County, WI.^49,69 He appeared in the census in 1870 in Waukesha County, WI.^69,70 James died on 11 June 1898 at the age of 81.⁶
