Abner Aaron DEZOTELL was born on 2 April 1855 in Concord, Jefferson County, WI.^16,73 He appeared in the census in 1860 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁶ He died on 24 July 1928 at the age of 73 in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, SD.⁷³ Abner was a mail carrier in Utah.⁷³ He carried mail from Salt Lake City to Silverton, Colorado, on horse back, 20 years after the Pony Express. One of the stories that he told was that he stayed with a man in Salt Lake City that had four wives.

Abner Aaron DEZOTELL and Alice Malinda ALLEN were married on 6 November 1887 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.^37,73 Alice Malinda ALLEN was born on 17 February 1870 in Chetek, Barron County, WI.⁷³ She died on 1 March 1948 at the age of 78.⁷³
