Fredrick Arthur "Fred" WEGNER and Marlyce M. MARKEE were married on 12 March 2016.318 Obituary Notes: "Marlyce M. Schindler-Wegner, 83, of Tomah died Saturday, April 2, 2016, at her home. She was born to Lawrence S. and Tressie E. (Rich) Markee in the town of Forest. Nov. 28, 1932. She was a member of the Hillsboro High School graduating class of 1950. After graduation she furthered her education and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. She was united to Ruben Schindler July 17, 1954, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. He preceded her in death April 3, 2004. She was united in marriage to Frederick Wegner March 12, 2016. Marlyce was a school teacher for the Norwalk School where she was a math instructor for the 4th, 5th and 6th grades. She also taught at the Tripp Ville Country School, the Black Valley Country School and the Slab town Country School. She worked for Burnstad’s for over 24 years as a clerk. Marlyce and Fred loved to jump in the truck and drive. Her favorite trips were to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to hold the babies. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Tomah. She had a happy go lucky personality and enjoyed visiting her family and friends. She was a devoted wife and a loving stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, and will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Frederick; her stepchildren, Gregory (Barbara) Wegner of Fond Du Lac, JoNell (Michael) Emperer of Omro, Aron (Judith) Wegner of Charlotte, N.C.; her grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; her half-sisters, Nancee (Jack) Simmons of Florida, and Sherrie Markee of Portage; sister-in-law, Carolyn Haldeman of Altoona; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her first husband, Ruben, she was preceded in death by a brother, Daryl Markee; two sisters-in-law, Arline Vieth and Alma Martin; and a brother-in-law, Everett Haldeman. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, town of Tomah." . |
