She passed away March 2, 1992, in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 80 years, two months and nine days. Mary moved to Iowa at a young age. She grew up in the Derby area and graduated from Derby High School in 1930. She was married to Paul Cox on May 3, 1936, in Princeton, Mo. They had three children: Virginia, Bill and Bonnie. She is survived by her husband, Paul; a son, Bill Cox and wife Dyann, of Gilbert, Ariz.; a daughter, Bonnie Cox of West Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter, Virginia Cox of New Carlisle, Ohio; three grandsons, Greg Cox of Indianola, Iowa; Eric Cox and Jamie Kent of Chariton, Iowa; two granddaughters, Amber Wilson of Gilbert, Ariz. and Krystal Reber and husband, Andy, of Chandler Heights, Ariz.; two great-grandchildren, Remy and Jake Reber; a brother, Bill Roberts and wife Kim of Ellston, Iowa; sisters, Rose Caylor of Chariton, Mabel Gillman of Des Moines, Margaret Frye of Cedaredge, Colo., and Donna Burress and husband Jim of Henderson, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Tony Cox and brothers John and Earl Roberts. Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who was always there for those who needed her. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 6, 1992, at the Fielding Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Olson officiating. Serving as bearers were Greg and Eric Cox, Jamie Kent, Bill, Kevin and Ronnie Roberts. Serving as honorary bearer was Jerry Roberts. Interment was in the Sharon Cemetery.
