22. Marvin E. SONNENBURG was born on 10 January 1912 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁹ He appeared in the census in 1920 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ He appeared in the census in 1930 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ After 1939 Marvin was a farmer in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁶

From the Monroe County Heritage Book: "We farmed on the Sonnenburg farm at Ridgeville for thirty-two years. Then we sold the farm to an Amish family, now known as the Marvin Yoder farm. We moved to a larger farm just up the road, known as the Gust Gerke farm. We farmed there until 1976, when Ronald left home to be a semi-driver for Keene's Transfer. In 1980, we sold this farm ... and retired in the tenant house on the farm." He died on 17 March 2002 at the age of 90 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^39,47 He was buried on 20 March 2002 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^39,47 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Marvin E. SONNENBURG and Eunice Orthrud BARTELS were married on 29 December 1938 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^23,39,46 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. (Her obituary said that they were married in Waukon, Iowa,so they may have had two ceremonies.) Eunice Orthrud BARTELS, daughter of Walter Edmund BARTELS and Josephine Dorthea Adeline VON HADEN, was born on 14 August 1917 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^6,39,48,49 (Her middle name may have been spelled "Othrud.") She was baptized on 16 September 1917 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁹ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She appeared in the census in 1920 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ Eunice appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ She died on 27 October 2002 at the age of 85 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁹ She was buried on 30 October 2002 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.³⁹ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
