Nancy Getman was born June 31 (sic, 30), 1844 in Bloomingdale, Cook Co.(sic, DuPage), Illinois. She came to Wisconsin with her parents in June 1846, when she was but two years old. She lived with her parents in Waukesha Co. until 1862, when she came to Monroe Co. and was married to William Harp in the spring of 1863. She was the youngest of a family of ten children, of whom six survive her: Mrs. C. Vandervort of Tomah, Mrs. Jane Hoffman of Hixton, Jackson Co., Mrs. Caroline Wilson of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Mary Dohle of Illinois, Aaron Getman of Tomah and Alexander Dohle of Illinois. Mrs. Nancy Harp was the mother of eight children, of whom six are living, four boys and two girls. The husband and children mourn the loss of a kind and faithful wife and mother who has gone before them. In their home there is a vacant chair. They will miss her in the morning, at noon time and when the evening shadows gather. She is at rest." . William HARP Sr. and Nancy Matilda GETMAN had the following children:
William HARP Sr. and Maud Blanche MORE were married on 25 July 1897 in Monroe County, WI.1,18 Maud Blanche MORE was born on 6 February 1878 in Wisconsin.1,14,15 The 1900 Census listed her birth place as Illinois and indicated that her father was born in New York and her mother in Pennsylvania. She appeared in the census in 1900 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.14 (She was living with her huband William and his family.)
