2. Mathias HOVLAND was born in 1853 in Norway.^2,3 He emigrated in 1869 from Norway.^1,3 He died in 1909 at the age of 56 in Angelo Township, Monroe County, WI.¹

Mathias HOVLAND and Emma VAN DYKE were married on 23 September 1877.^1,3,4,5,6 Emma VAN DYKE, daughter of Abraham VAN DYKE and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (VAN DYKE), was born in Wisconsin.²

Mathias HOVLAND and Emma VAN DYKE had the following children:
