68. Charles BELCHER was born on 14 September 1890 in Cutler Township, Juneau County, WI.99,132,133 on the Belcher family farm, 5 miles north of Camp Douglas. (He was the illegitimate son of Oral Harriet Belcher and was raised by his maternal grandparents.)

In 1909, when Charles was 18, he moved with his grandparents and Uncle Rufus (Rutherford) to a farm near Tomah in neighboring Monroe county. The Tomah farm was about 11 miles from the Cutler Township farm in Juneau County where Orren and Caroline had lived for the prior 35 years.

. He appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.42,99 He was living with his maternal grandparents, Orren and Caroline Belcher, and his occupation was "Farm Laborer."

(He cannot be located in the 1920 Census.)

. He appeared in the census in 1930 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.123 He was a "Hired Man" in the household of Robert Glander and his occupation was "Laborer, General Farm." Robert was a younger brother of the eventual wife of Charles.

. Charles died on 12 July 1947 at the age of 56 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.99,132 He was buried on 15 July 1947 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.47 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church cemetery.

Charles BELCHER and Sophia "Sophie" GLANDER were married on 9 July 1932.99,132 Sophia "Sophie" GLANDER, daughter of Carl GLANDER and Pauline AUERBACH, was born on 5 November 1881 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.58,99,123 According to the 1930 Census, her parents were born in Germany. She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Hillsborough County, NH.58 She appeared in the census in 1930 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.123 She was living with her brother and was listed as "Sophie A. Wyss." She was married and her occupation was "Housekeeper, Private Family." Sophie died in May 1972 at the age of 90 in Wisconsin.99
