Odiene William "Dean" ZELLMER was born on 23 February 1926 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^21,127,128 He was baptized on 5 April 1926 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹²⁷ He appeared in the census in 1930 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴⁹ Dean lived at his home in Richmond, Henrico County, VA in August 2005.¹²⁹ He died on 18 June 2018 at the age of 92 in Richmond, Henrico County, VA.¹²⁸ Obituary Notes: "Odiene William Zellmer, resident of Morningside of Bellgrade, Richmond, VA, joined his heavenly family on June 18, 2018. He was born in Tomah, WI on February 23, 1926, Son of Albert and Anna (Westpfahl) Zellmer. His wife of 53 years, Ethel (Liening) Zellmer, and an infant daughter, Rebecca, preceded him in death.

His military service was two years US Army in WWII, in Italy and the Philippines, and six years US Navy prior to and during the Korean conflict. Odiene's 40 years with American Can Company required the family to live and make new friends in Illinois, Wisconsin, California, New Jersey, Texas, and Virginia.

He is survived by his son, Steven (Beth) Zellmer, Somerset, NJ, and two daughters, Cynthia (Anthony) Reagan, Chesterfield, VA, and Gretchen (Kenneth) Sargent, Derry, NH; five grandchildren, Michelle (David) Incze, Anthony and Amy Reagan, Taylor and Hannah Sargent; two step-grandchildren, Kenneth (Susan) Sargent III and Kirsten (Brendan) Doherty; one great-grandchild, Bentley Incze and one step-great-grandchild, Kinsley Doherty; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Tyrrell, Atlanta, GA and Jane Zellmer, Milwaukee, WI. Also, the last remaining survivor of his Zellmer generation is Eldera Smith, St. Francis, WI.

Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be contributed to the USO, PO Box 96860, Washington DC 20077-7677 or to Epiphany Lutheran Church, Richmond, VA. Funeral arrangements are with Woody Funeral Home, Parham Rd., in Richmond."

Odiene William "Dean" ZELLMER and Ethel Auguste LIENING were married on 22 March 1958 in River Forest, Cook County, IL.^47,78 at Grace Lutheran Church. Ethel Auguste LIENING, daughter of George William LIENING and Edna Clara Johanna SCHWEBKE, was born on 25 April 1929 in Chicago, Cook County, IL.⁴⁷ She died before June 2018 at the age of 89.¹²⁸
