Florence FRANZ and William "Howard" TAFT Sr. (\) were married on 30 June 1937.¹⁴² William "Howard" TAFT Sr. (\), son of Wallace Frederich TAFT and Minnie Etta ROOT, was born on 23 May 1917 in Monroe County, WI.^{58,141,142,143} (The Monroe County Birth Registration Index lists his year of birth as 1917, but other sources list it as 1916.)
