4. Georg "George" KUCKUCK Sr. was born on 17 June 1821 in Hanover, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) Province, Preussen (Prussia).2,3,4,5 (The 1860 Census listed his birth place as Hanover.) He appeared in the census in 1860 in Germantown Township, Juneau County, WI.3 His household consisted of George and Hannah, their children Hannah, age 3, and George, age 1. Also living with them were Conrad Kuckuck (age 45, born in Hanover), a brother, and Frederick Kuckuck (age 26, born in Hanover), relationship unknown, but possibly a son from a first marriage of George's brother, Frederick. (His household was next to that of George Prell, Sr., and his family.)

. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.4 Their household consisted of George and Hannah and their children, Hannah, age 12; George, Jr., age 11; and Charles, age 9. Also living with them were Conrad Kuckuck, age 54 (George's brother), and Augustus Kuckuck, age 23, both born in Prussia. Augustus was probably the oldest son of George's brother Fred.

. George appeared in the census in 1875 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.6 His household consisted of 4 males and 1 female. (It is believed that his daughter, Hannah, was listed as a male.)

. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.2 George's household was a few farms away from his brother Fred and his family.

Fred and George were probably the sons of Herman Kuckuck, who was listed as Fred's father (where?).

. He died on 17 July 1881 at the age of 60 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.5,12,15 (The Oak Grove Cemetery records list his date of death as 17 Jul 1881.) George was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.5 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Georg "George" KUCKUCK Sr. and Johannah Friederika "Haan" GARRENS were married in April 1853 in Preussen (Prussia).3,16 After their marriage, they came to Illinois and then went to Germantown Township, WI. In 1866 they began farming in Bear Creek, Monroe County, WI.

Johannah Friederika "Haan" GARRENS was born on 14 October 1822 in Preussen (Prussia).2,3,9,16 (Her given name is listed as "Johanna" in the Marriage Certificates of her son George and her daughter Hannah. The 1860 Census listed her as "Hannah.") She appeared in the census in 1860 in Germantown Township, Juneau County, WI.3 She lived at their family farm in Bear Creek, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI between 1866 and 1900.16 They came to the U.S. shortly after their marriage in 1853, and lived first in Illinois and then in Germantown, WI, before moving to Bear Creek in 1866. Haan appeared in the census in 1870 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.4 She appeared in the census in 1875 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.6 She appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.2 Haan appeared in the census in 1900 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.9 She was living with her son Charles and his family. She lived at her home in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI after 1900.16 She appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.10 She was living with her son Charles and his family. Haan died on 30 July 1920 at the age of 97 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.16 at the home of her son Charles. She was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.5 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
