Harold appeared in the census in 1900 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.² He and his family were living with his parents and his occupation was "Farm Laborer." He appeared in the census in 1910 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ His occupation was "Farmer, General Farm." He was naturalized on 6 November 1914 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.²⁴ He was granted his U.S. citizenship at the Circuit Court. Harold appeared in the census in 1920 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.³ His occupation was "Farmer, General Farm." He died on 9 January 1931 at the age of 57.²³ Harold was buried in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.^23,25 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Rudolph Gustav Theodor "Harold" MARTIN and Anna Katherine BRANDAU were married on 26 April 1898 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.^5,14 at St. Jacob's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Anna Katherine BRANDAU, daughter of Heinrich Adam BRANDAU and Katharina Dorothea EHMER, was born on 17 June 1878 in Weissenhasel, Kreis Rotenburg, Hessen (Hesse) Province, Preussen (Prussia).^5,23 She emigrated in March 1895 from Weissenhasel, Kreis Rotenburg, Hessen (Hesse) Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹⁵ She appeared in the census in 1900 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.² Anna appeared in the census in 1910 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ She appeared in the census in 1920 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.³ She appeared in the census in 1930 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵ Anna died on 2 July 1946 at the age of 68.²³ She was buried in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.^23,25 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
