28. Irene G. MISTELE was born on 25 September 1913 in Monroe County, WI.^8,13 She appeared in the census in 1920 in Clifton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ She appeared in the census in 1930 in Clifton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ Irene died on 25 February 2016 at the age of 102 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.²¹

Obituary Notes: "Irene G. Dunlap, 102, of Tomah died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at Tomah Rehabilitation Center. She was born Sept. 25, 1913, to Charles and Sophie (Mclain) Mistele on the family farm in the town of Clifton. She was a member of the New Lisbon High School Graduating Class of 1931.

Irene was united in marriage to Arthur B. Dunlap on March 2, 1935. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1970. Together they farmed in the town of Oakdale, for several years before moving in 1953, to Tomah. She babysat for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles, watching game shows on television and trips to the casino. Irene was a very sweet woman, who would do anything for anybody. She was the type of mother that everyone wished they had.

She is survived by five children, Roween Breidel of Antioch, Ill., Eileen Fauska of Camp Douglas, Caroleen Ray of Waukesha, Dusty (Gina) Dunlap and Richard (Joni) Dunlap both of Tomah; her grandchildren, Kenneth (Nancy) Breidel, Katherine Breidel, and Kimberly Breidel, Laurie Fauska, Christopher (Kristen) Ray and Matthew Ray, Travis Dunlap and Lindsey (Patrick) Hieb, Travis Jorgensen, Kyle Jorgensen, and Sumer Jorgensen; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson; other relatives; and friends.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ernie Breidel; two brothers, Alfred and Charles; and a sister, Agnes.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Irene G. MISTELE and Arthur B. DUNLAP were married on 2 March 1935.²¹ Arthur B. DUNLAP died on 26 July 1970.
