Avolt Frederick NIENAST and Josephine Annette "Josie" SACIA were married on 23 July 1903 in Cashton, Jefferson Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,14,16 They had five children. Josephine Annette "Josie" SACIA, daughter of Charles Montgomery SACIA and Huldah Annette GEER, was born on 23 March 1884 in Burr Oak, Farmington Township, La Crosse County, WI.^3,16 She died on 3 February 1927 at the age of 42 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,17 She died of burns when her dress caught on fire.
