Friedrich Wilhelm "Fritz" NOTH Sr. was born on 6 March 1839 in Detmold, Kreis Lippe, Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine Westphalia) Province, Preussen (Prussia).5,6,9,32,33 He emigrated in 1859 from Detmold, Kreis Lippe, Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine Westphalia) Province, Preussen (Prussia).5,32,33,34,35 The Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild (ISTG) has a listing for Friedrich Noth, age 20, occupation "Joiner," as a passenger on the ship Magalene that departed Bremen, Germany, and arrived in New Orleans on 5 November 1859. His destination was listed as Wisconsin. He was listed as passenger #83; no other Noth surnames were listed on the shiip. That may have been him. He served in the military on 21 June 1861 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, MO.32,33,34 in Co. E, 2nd Missouri Voluntary Infantry. He was discharged on 29 September 1864. He then moved to Monroe County in 1866. After 1866 Fritz was a farmer in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.33 He purchased 240 acres of land in Sections 7 and 8. He appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.9 He appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.6 His household was next door to his brother August and consisted of Fredrick, Lucy, August, Minnie, Anna, Fredrick, Pauline and Herman. His occupation was listed as "Farmer." Fritz died on 18 May 1890 at the age of 51.32 He was buried in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.12,13,32 in the Noth Family Reformed Lutheran Cemetery.

(Her name is listed as "Louise Dorothea Rieke" in the church marriage records.) Louisa Dorothea "Louise" RIEKE, daughter of Heinrich RIEKE and Wilhelmine VEHMEIER, was born on 2 April 1849 in Detmold, Kreis Lippe, Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine Westphalia) Province, Preussen (Prussia).5,6,9,13 (Her name was listed as "Louise Ringe" in the church baptism records of her son Friedrich.) She appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.9 She appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.6 Louise died in 1881 at the age of 32.12 She died on 27 October 1881 at the age of 32 in Monroe County, WI.13 She was buried in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.12,13 in the Noth Family Reformed Lutheran Cemetery. Her gravestone contains the inscription: "Died on her Wedding Day"
