In December 1895, a newspaper article noted that "Ira Dewey has gone to Chicago, where he will receive the position of mail clerk on the railroad." He was appointed Postmaster in Mather, WI on 11 Mar 1898. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI. His occupation was listed as "Merchant, Retail." He appeared in the census in 1930 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI. His occupation was listed as "Merchant, General Merchandise." Ira died on 2 April 1940 at the age of 70. Ira Norman DEWEY and Anna M. SCHULZ were married on 11 December 1902 in Monroe County, WI. Anna M. SCHULZ was born on 11 November 1877 in Germany. She emigrated in 1880 from Germany. She graduated in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI. from Tomah High School. Dorene appeared in the census in 1930 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI. Before 1965 she was a school teacher in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI. She also taught in Warrens. She died on 5 February 1965 at the age of 53 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI. Dorene was buried on 7 February 1965 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI. in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
184	iv.	Harold A. DEWEY was born on 7 April 1914 in Wisconsin. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI. He appeared in the census in 1930 in Mather, Kingston Township, Juneau County, WI. Harold died in November 1987 at the age of 73 in Virginia.
