Michael "Mick" OLLENDICK was born on 11 June 1964 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.35 He died on 24 February 2022 at the age of 57 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wood County, WI.35 Obituary Notes: "Michael “Mick” Ray Ollendick, 57 of Oakdale, died Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Hilltop of Pepper, Wisconsin Rapids. He was born on June 11, 1964, to Theodore Francis and Hilda Jesse (Shives) Ollendick at the Tomah Hospital. He was the youngest of 12 Children. Mick was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He was a member of the Tomah Senior High School Graduating Class of 1982.

After high school Mick went into the Construction Trade first working with his brothers, then for Kevin Roe, and later at the All-American Do-it-Center. He became a very accomplished Finish Carpenter. He had a keen eye and an attention to detail, he built Gun Cabinets, shelves and desks, he even built his home. If it could be built, Mick could build it.

He was an avid bow hunter and could sit in his stand from dusk until dawn. He was a fan of John Deere Tractors. He was a lifelong and faithful member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mick had a gentle and caring personality, a corky sense of humor, and a special gift to be able to make people smile.

He loved his family, his nieces and nephews, and his grandbabies were the light of his life. He could always remember the details of their life. Mick had a courageous 22-year fight with cancer, it was a journey that had a lot of ups and downs. He made it long enough to see everything that he needed to see from walking his daughter down the aisle to seeing his grandkids born. He will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Matthew) Nowak of Valley, Dawson of Tomah, a bonus son Mike (Heather) Pasch of Tomah, grandchildren Trey, Brynleigh, and Aaron, his siblings, Theodore P. (Karen) of Sparta, John (Marcia) of Tomah, Ruby Smith of Tomah, Peggy (Terry) Tiber of Oakdale, Helen (Ron) Krueger of Chipppewa Falls, Joan Brieske of Wilton, Barb (Jim) Fleming of Westby, Phyllis (Jan) Brandau of Wilton, Sherry (Bob) Conant of Tomah, Judy (Bill) Mecozzi of Rome; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Phillip James; 2 brothers-in-law, Larry Smith and Darold Brieske; niece Terri Lynn Powell; a nephew Rich Seiss.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, 11:00 A.M.at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, (Indian Creek) 18316 County Hwy N, Tomah. Reverend Robert M. Letona will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah and on Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
