Descendants of Guillaume Peloquin

Guillaume Peloquin is the earliest-known ancestor of the branch of his family that eventually lived in Chippewa County, Wisconsin. He and his wife, Mautherine Forestier, were born in about 1520 in Maumusson, Pays de la Loire, France, about 200 miles southwest of Paris.

Guillaume's descendants remained in France until the early-1700's, when his 3rd great-grandson, Francoise Peloquin dit Credit, emigrated to the Quebec Provice of Canada. The family remaiined in Canada until Francoise's 4th great-grandson, Clement Peloquin, emigrated to America and settled first in Windham County, Connecticut, and then in Chippewa County, Wisconsin in the late-1800's.

One of Clement's great-granddaughters, Anita Ann Peloquin, married Archie Wallace Andress in 1953 in Chippewa Falls and they had seven sons. The youngest, Jay Archie Andress, married Jennifer Eileen Griggs in 1989.
