Johann Friedrich "Fred" PINGEL was born on 6 July 1873 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.^{2,10,12,16,30} He was baptized on 7 September 1873 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.² in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹² Fred was confirmed on 14 July 1889 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.³¹ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He died in 1935 at the age of 62.¹⁶ He was buried in 1935 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁶ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Johann Friedrich "Fred" PINGEL and Lydia THUROW were married on 29 December 1900 in Monroe County, WI.²⁴ Lydia THUROW, daughter of Friedrich Johann THUROW and Emilie Wilhelmine ZARLING, was born in 1877.¹⁶ She appeared in the census in 1880 in Clifton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹² She died in 1935 at the age of 58.¹⁶ Lydia was buried in 1935 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁶ in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
