Karl "August" PRECHEL was born on 5 April 1849 in Smolary, Bromberg Regierungsbezirk, Kreis Kolmar, Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).² (His surname was listed as "Prechelt" in his church Communion Records.) He emigrated in 1880 from Germany.⁵ He was Lutheran in 1899 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ He and his wife were listed in the church Communion Records in the early-1890's. August appeared in the census in 1900 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ He appeared in the census in 1910 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁵ He appeared in the census in 1930 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ August died on 27 November 1943 at the age of 94.² He was buried in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁹ in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Karl "August" PRECHEL and Henriette Ottilie "Hattie" RAEDEL were married on 8 June 1881 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^2,3,10,11 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Henriette Ottilie "Hattie" RAEDEL, daughter of J. Daniel RAEDEL and Wilhelmine VOELKER, was born on 4 February 1864 in Wisconsin.^3,7,11,12 (Her surname is spelled "Redel" in her church confirmation record, and as "Roedel" in her marriage record.) She was baptized on 10 April 1864 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.³ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She appeared in the census in 1870 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹³ Hattie was confirmed on 14 April 1878 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.³ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She appeared in the census in 1880 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁴ She was living with her father. She appeared in the census in 1930 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ Hattie died on 2 January 1940 at the age of 75.¹² She was buried in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁵ in the St. Paul's German Lutheran Cemetery.

He was confirmed on 5 April 1903 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁹ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Freddie died on 7 November 1965 at the age of 77 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^17,20 in the Infirmary. He was buried on 10 November 1965 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^17,20 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
