LAMB, was born on 25 January 1928 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.27,38,92,95,96 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.2 He graduated in 1945 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.97,98 from Tomah High School. Roland died on 16 November 2015 at the age of 87 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.96 Obituary Notes: "Roland Kelley, 87, of Tomah died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse. He was born Jan. 25, 1928, to John C. and Bessie (Lamb) Kelley in Tomah. Roland was a member of the Tomah High School Graduating Class of 1945. On Sept. 27, 1952, he was united in marriage to Doris M. Bernhardt at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Tomah. Along with farming his whole life, Roland, worked as a director for 28 years at Oakdale Electric and represented Oakdale electric at Dairyland Power for over 20 years. Roland was one of a kind. He loved people and when he and Doris traveled throughout the U.S., with their camper. His first job would be to set up and then he would set out to meet the fellow campers. Roland would always inquire with folks where they were from and what did they do. He loved sharing stories with friends and new acquaintances, which usually ended with sharing a laugh or two. Many, who knew Roland, knew of his great sense of humor. Getting together with friends and family was always important to Roland. He created the annual Buddy Reunion get together and also helped organize the annual Derby parties. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting locally and with friends; the hunting trips out west were some of his most memorable. He had a special love for the cottage on Castle Rock Lake, and shared so very many precious memories with his family and friends there. Roland also had a generous heart, always quick to lend a helping hand. He will be dearly missed and remembered by those that loved him. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris; a son, John C. Kelley; four grandchildren, Brittany, Sean, Danielle and Jesse, all of Tomah; five great-grandchildren, Devon, Jessalynn, Kaidan, Kynlee and Dane; a sister-in-law, Sue (Ken) Priellip-Olson of Tomah; and a brother-in-law, James Bernhardt of Clifton. Roland is further survived by many nieces, nephews; other relatives; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott; a sister, Joyce Wilson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mabel Bernhardt, Gary Prielip and Donna and Don Muehlenkamp. .
