Descendants of Christoph Preuss/Price/Prise

Christioph Preuss and his wife Rosine were born in the Posen Province of Prussia in the early-1800's. Their son, Ludwig Preuss, Sr., and his wife, Emilie “Minnie” Harmel, had two children in Posen before they emigrated to America in 1870.

Ludwig and Minnie settled first in an area just west of Detroit, and another seven children were born there. They finally moved to Greenfield Township in Monroe County in the early-1880’s and their last two children were born there.

Their children married into families such as Bernhardt, Schreiber, Westpfahl, Kamrath, Olson, Scholz, Boeder, Rosenow and Hoy. Some of their descendants eventually changed the spelling of their surname to "Price" and "Prise."
