46. June Ruth FREEMORE was born on 5 June 1924 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.15,16 She died on 25 December 2002 at the age of 78 in Chippewa Falls, Chippewa County, WI.16 She was buried on 30 December 2002 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.16 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

June Ruth FREEMORE and Arthur CHRISTENSEN were married on 18 April 1942.16 They16 were divorced before 1963.16 Arthur CHRISTENSEN died before May 2001.17

June Ruth FREEMORE and Stanley Vernon HENDRICKSON Sr. were married on 9 November 1963 in Boulder City, Clark County, NV.53 Stanley Vernon HENDRICKSON Sr., son of Adolph HENDRICKSON and Lena GUNDERSON, was born on 18 July 1925 in Ridgeland, Dunn County, WI.53 He died on 3 November 2014 at the age of 89 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.53

Obituary Notes: "Stanley Vernon Hendrickson, 89, of Sparta passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Morrow Memorial Home, Sparta. He was born July 18, 1925, to Adolph and Lena (Gunderson) Hendrickson at Ridgeland, Wis.

He joined the U.S. Merchant Marines and later, June 29, 1944, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. He served in the Asian Pacific Theater and served as an Amphibious Tractor Crewman. He participated in action at Okinawa and the Ryukyu Islands. He was a World War II Veteran.

In 1947 Stanley was married to Idella Gunderson. He later was united in marriage to June Christensen Nov. 9, 1963, in Boulder City, Nev. He worked on the family farm in Ridgeland and also at the Foremost Creamery. He later went to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs in St. Cloud, then the VA in Tomah, where he was introduced to his second wife, June R. Christensen. Stan then accepted a position in the power plant at the Madison VA Hospital; he relocated to the VA Hospital in Hot Springs, S.D. as chief of the boiler plant, until his retirement in 1989. He lived in Hot Springs for over 25 years before, relocating back to the Tomah area in 1999. He was a charter member of the Mammoth Site Museum in Hot Springs. He was a member of the Picture City Gem & Mineral Society of Hot Springs. Stan was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was kind and generous to all those who had a chance to meet him. He adored his little dog, Princess, whom he referred to as “Little Woof”

He is survived by his children, Dennis Hendrickson of London, Ontario, David (Lila) Hendrickson of Seymour, Wis., Stanley, Jr (Tina) Hendrickson and Angela “Annie” Hendrickson, both of Sparta, Larry (Judy) Christensen of Cashton, Greta Stilwell of Janesville, Robert (Jean) Christensen of Tomah, Catherine (Donny) Wagner of Beaver Dam, Carla (Steve) Simunek of Oral, S.D.; special friends, Larry and Sandy Deurloo; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June; his daughter, Linda Christensen; and a sister, Evelyn Hendrickson.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah. Pastor Nathan Palmer will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to call from noon until the time of service Friday at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors."
