45. Esther H. FREEMORE was born on 3 December 1919 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.52 She graduated in 1938 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.52 from Tomah High School. She died on 3 April 2007 at the age of 87 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.52

Obituary Notes: "Esther H. Fabian, 87, of Tomah, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at the Greenfield House. She was born Dec. 3, 1919, in Tomah, the daughter of Harold and Greta (Protz) Freemore. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomah. She attended St. Paul Ev. Lutheran School for eight years and graduated from Tomah High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to Elmer H. Fabian in 1946 and they lived their entire life in the Tomah area. To this union four children were born, Daryl, Sheryl, Carol and Janeda.

She worked for Schultz Brothers for 25 years and for the V.A. Medical Center in Tomah as a medical transcriptionist for 20 years, retiring in 1983.

Esther was vice president of the Tomah Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for two years and was a volunteer for the Tomah Memorial Hospital Gift Shop. She was a faithful and lifelong member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

She is survived by and left to mourn her devoted family, a son Daryl (Carla) of Necedah, twin daughters Sheryl (John “Jay”) Epding of Necedah and Carol (Duane) Rehberg of Appleton, and Janeda (Bill) Peterson of Tomah; nine grandchildren, Sheri Versteegh of Oshkosh, Debra (Rick) Marohl of Menomonee Falls, Wendy (Mark) Breimon of Sussex, John (Jolene) Epding of Brookfield, Tracy (Matthew) Kemp of Camp Douglas, Kent (Leah) Rehberg of Neenah, Kristine (Cory) Feidt of Kaukauna, Kevin (Traci) Peterson of Warrens, Kara (her fiancé Ben Lorenz) Peterson of Tomah; 15 great-grandchildren, Michael Versteegh and Jessica (Tony) Bennett, Mitchell and Jeffrey Marohl, Shane and Brittany Breimon, Jacob, Ethan and Gracianna Rehberg, Tyler and Kole Peterson, Lydia and Alayna Feidt, Alexxis Kemp and Jade Epding; one great-great-granddaughter; three step-great-grandchildren, and a step great-great-granddaughter; two brothers-in-law, Philip Schaller of Cashton and Stan Hendrickson of Tomah; two special friends, Paul Vlasek and Dorothy Fletcher, both of Tomah; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; two sisters, Delores Schaller and June Hendrickson; a brother, Darwin Freemore; a niece, a nephew, and one great-nephew.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave., Tomah. Pastor Donald R. Buch officiated. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah. Relatives and friends called Tuesday, April 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah, and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. The family requests memorials be given to St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church Broadcast Fund in memory of Esther H. Fabian."

Esther H. FREEMORE and Elmer H. FABIAN were married on 30 July 1946.52 Elmer H. FABIAN, son of Gustave C. FABIAN and Martha MOLL, was born on 28 August 1914 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.16 He appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.9 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.10 Elmer died on 9 January 2001 at the age of 86 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.16 He was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.24 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
