45. Florence STROZEWSKI was born on 23 December 1919 in Case Marsh, Bear Bluff Township, Jackson County, WI.17 She died on 21 April 2007 at the age of 87 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.17

Obituary Notes: "Florence Hopkins, age 87, of Tomah, WI, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at the Tomah Health Care Center. She was born Dec. 23, 1919, on the Case marsh, Bear Bluff Township, Jackson County, WI, to George Strozewski and Jessie Ogle. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Hopkins, March 16, 1940, until his death May 7, 1990. Florence worked seasonally on the area cranberry marshes and as storekeeper at the Mather Store. She also served as the Town of Scott Treasurer. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, fishing, puzzles, and bird watching.

Florence is survived by two sons, Larry (Pat) Hopkins of Hudson and Michael Hopkins of Tomah; five grandchildren, Pam (Craig) Horwath, Monte (Becky) Hopkins, Jerry (Stephanie) Hopkins, Mia Hopkins and Maren Hopkins; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger (Iris) of Merrill; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Florence was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister and brothers, Clayton Strozewski, Claude Strozewski, Robert Strozewski, Blanche Waltemath, Raymond Strozewski and Alfred Strozewski, and her husband, Kenneth.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 24, at 11 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Pastor Edwin Stigen officiated. Burial took place at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Mather. Visitation was on Monday, April 23, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home."

Florence STROZEWSKI and Kenneth HOPKINS were married on 16 March 1940.17 Kenneth HOPKINS died before April 2007.6
