Descendants of Gottlieb Rosenow

Gottlieb Rosenow and his wife, Demuth Marquardt, were born in Kries Saatzig, Prussia, in the 1780's. One of their sons, Ernst Gottlieb Rosenow, was born in 1821 in Hermelsdorf and married Dorothea Louise Marquardt. They eventually emigrated to America and settled in Ridgeville Township.

Many of the Rosenow family members in Monroe County descend from Gottlieb and Demuth.
