The 1880 Census lists Isaac's father's birth place as Massachusetts.) He emigrated in 1835 from Nova Scotia Province, Canada.15 He appeared in the census in 1850 in Mequon, Ozaukee County, WI.16 He was the Head of Household, and his mother and five of his siblings were living with him. His occupation was "Farmer." Isaac appeared in the census in 1860 in Greenfield Township, Monroe County, WI.31 His occupation was listed as "farmer." He appeared in the census in 1870 in Lincoln Township, Monroe County, WI.35 He appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.33 His occupation was listed as "farmer," although he was living in the Village of Tomah. His unit served in Puerto Rico, leaving on April 28th, 1898 and returning home on September 18th, 1898. The unit was based in the Winnebago County area of Wisconsin.
