1. Samuel SAXBY was born in September 1834 in England, United Kingdom.^1,2 He emigrated on 10 June 1856 from Sussex County, England.³ He appeared in the census in 1860 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ His household also included a John Saxby, age 30, born in England--probably a brother. Samuel appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ He appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.² He died in 1920 at the age of 86.⁵ Samuel was buried in 1920 in Monroe County, WI.⁵ in the Dorset Ridge Methodist Cemetery.

Samuel SAXBY and Sophia "Sophie" BARDEN were married about 1858.^2,3,6 Sophia "Sophie" BARDEN, daughter of William BARDEN and Sophia ADAMS, was born on 10 June 1835 in England, United Kingdom.^1,2,6,7 She appeared in the census in 1860 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ She appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ Sophie appeared in the census in 1900 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.² She died in 1912 at the age of 77.⁵ She was buried in 1912 in Monroe County, WI.⁵ in the Dorset Ridge Methodist Cemetery.
