George SAXBY Sr. was born on 18 July 1861 in Wellington Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ He appeared in the census in 1870 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ He died on 26 March 1950 at the age of 88 in Kendall, Glendale Township, Monroe County, WI.⁶ George was buried in Monroe County, WI.⁵ in the Dorset Ridge Methodist Cemetery.

George SAXBY Sr. and Bertha MALCHOW were married on 12 March 1887.^6,8 (Her surname is listed as "Mancho" in the Marriage records.) Bertha MALCHOW was born on 1 June 1868.⁶ She died on 28 January 1942 at the age of 73.⁶ She was buried in Monroe County, WI. in the Dorset Ridge Methodist Cemetery.
