Sophia Dorothea SCHAEFER was born on 20 August 1886 in Monroe County, WI.^13,42 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴ She was confirmed on 5 April 1903 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁴² at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Sophia appeared in the census in 1930 in Racine, Racine County, WI.¹² She died on 6 December 1966 at the age of 80.¹

Sophia Dorothea SCHAEFER and Alex G. "Al" KLINGER were married about 1901.^1,12 (She was not living with her parents during the 1910 Census, so it is assumed that she had married.) Alex G. "Al" KLINGER was born about 1886 in Germany.¹² He emigrated in 1889 from Germany.¹² He appeared in the census in 1930 in Racine, Racine County, WI.¹² His occupation was "Police Officer, City."
