Descendants of Adolph Schaefer

Adolph Schaefer and his wife, Louise Boedizke, were born in Prussia in the early-1800’s.

Their son, Ernst Adolph Philip Schaefer, Sr., emigrated to America in 1872 and married Wilhelmine Dorothea “Minna” Genske in 1875. They had ten children, and they married into families such as Pergande, Klinger and Naumann.

All of the original Schaefer families in Monroe County descend from Adolph and Louise.
