Descendants of Franz "Frank" Schappe, Sr.

Franz "Frank" Schappe, Sr., and his wife, Barbara Blaschke, were born in Prussia in the 1840’s. Their oldest son, Frank, Jr., was born in 1866, just before they emigrated to America. They settled in Wisconsin and had six more children.

The children and their descendants married into families such as Peschel, Koehler, Miller and Pitel.

All of the Schappe families in Monroe County descend from Frank and Barbara.
