Descendants of Johann Wilhelm "John" Schedler

Johann “John” Schedler and his wife, Anna Louise Wegner, were born in the Posen Province of Prussia in the early-1800’s.

They and their six children emigrated to America in 1860 and settled in Monroe County. The children married into families such as Stolz, Leier, Mittelsteadt and Tonn.

Most of the Schedler families in Monroe County descend from John and Anna Louise, although some descend from Johann and Louise (Wegner) Schedler, who were born in Holland.
