He died on 25 February 1908 at the age of 79.¹ Wilhelm was buried on 28 February 1908 in Farmington Township, Jefferson County, WI.^1,2 in the Immanuel Cemetery. His name is listed as "Friedrich C. Scheer" on his gravestone.
