Arnold Earl FINNIGAN and Lana BROOKMAN were married on 28 November 1970. They were divorced in 1982. Lana BROOKMAN¹⁵, daughter of Merle Fredrick BROOKMAN and Garnet Elaine DE WITT, was born on 11 March 1950 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷³ She died on 11 September 2018 at the age of 68 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.⁷³

Obituary Notes: "Lana M. Brookman, 68, of Tomah died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare La Crosse.
She was born March 11, 1950, to Merel F. and Garnet E. (DeWitt) Brookman in Sparta.

She was a member of the Tomah Senior High School graduating class of 1968. After graduation, Lana went on to receive her bachelor’s in secondary education. She worked for Wisconsin Coulee Cap for several years. Lana was an instructor at Western Wisconsin Technical College from 1985 until 2014, before her retirement.

She had a creative personality and enjoyed writing short stories and poetry, she had a few of her writings published. Lana had a kind and gentle soul and enjoyed helping people. She had an unconditional love for her children and grandchildren. Lana was a proud mom, grandma and great-grandma.

She is survived by her children, Brenda (Dave) McGarry, Coleen (Mark) Rapp, Gary (Sandy Baumgart) Finnigan; and an honorary daughter, Amanda (Shaw) Burkhalter; her grandchildren, Mariah Turnmire, Joshua Schaller, Brooke Myher, Morgan (Kevin) Lenz Rouse, Trey Rapp, Jordan Rapp, Bryanna Finnigan, Darrin Baumgart and Damien Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Shawn, Ethan, Ariya and Emma; her siblings, Janice (Dennis) Henry, Wanda (Jim) Ashcraft, Linda Marten and Rod (Joan) Brookman. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her family she was preceded in death by her parents; her life partner, Gerald Roraff; and a brother-in-law, Marlin “Perk” J. Marten; a niece, Stacy Marten; and two nephews, David J. Marten and Dale J. Ashcraft.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St. Pastor Robert Streeter will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday."
