62. Margaret Marie "Peg" SCHMIEDER was born on 25 February 1926 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.16 She died on 28 January 2000 at the age of 73 in La Crosse, La Crosse County, WI.16

Margaret Marie "Peg" SCHMIEDER and William Francis KUEHL were married on 12 July 1942.16 They16 were divorced.16 William Francis KUEHL, son of Franz Albert Theodor KUEHL and Emma Amanda B. KEMNOW, was born on 15 August 1916 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.16,17,53 in Reels Valley.

He appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.11 He appeared in the census in 1930 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.13 William appeared in the census in 1940 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.57 He appeared in the census in 1950 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.52 His household was at 304 Glendale Avenue and his occupation was "Delivering Ice, Ice Company." He died on 17 April 2002 at the age of 85 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.16

Obituary Notes: "William F. Kuehl, 85, of Tomah, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at the Serenity House in Tomah. He was born on Aug. 15, 1916 to Frank and Emma (Kemnow) Kuehl in Reels Valley, Monroe County.

William had lived in the Tomah area all of his life. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School. He then farmed for the Pelz family in Tomah. On July 12, 1942, he was united in marriage to Margaret Marie Schmeider. From 1945-1955 he owned and operated his own ice business. He then went to work as a machinist at Union Camp for 25 years, retiring in 1981. He was a life-long member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomah. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and reading.

He is survived by four daughters, Connie Kuehl, Debi (Dennis) Winchel, Terri (Robert) Schilke, all of Tomah, and Deann Garrett of Minneapolis, Minn.; one son, Jeff Kuehl of Sparta; grandchildren Justin Kuehl, Marcus and Joy Garrett, Rachel Kuehl, Sarah Schilke, Ryan and Lewis Winchel; one sister, Beatrice Brownfield of Urbana, Ind.; and one brother, Martin Kuehl.

He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Kuehl; three sisters, Alice Meyers, Florence Culver and Emma Tramel; and three brothers, Frank Kuehl, Jr., Howard and Harold Kuehl.

Memorial services will be held Friday, April 19, at 11 A.M. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Tomah. Pastor Donald Buch will officiate. A private family burial will be held later on Friday." William was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.54 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Connie Kay KUEHL was born on 26 January 1944 in Monroe County, WI.17 She appeared in the census in 1950 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.52 She died on 8 February 2023 at the age of 79.58 Obituary Notes: "Connie K. Kuehl went to her home in heaven on February 8, 2023. She was born in Tomah, Wisconsin to William and Margaret Kuehl on January 26, 1944. She graduated from Tomah High School.

Connie worked at Steele’s Rexall Drug Store in Tomah for most of her life. She developed great relationships with many of her customers. Connie was an amazing cook. She often shared many of her dishes and recipes with her co-workers, friends, and family. Early in the Morning for many years, Connie made the pizza dough for her nephew, Denny Kuehl, at UpTown Pizza.

When Connie retired, she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to be closer to her niece, Joy Garrett, and her nephew, Marcus Garrett. Connie was like a second mom to many of her nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

Connie is survived by her sisters, Debi (Dennis) Winchel, Terri (Bob) Schilke, Deann Garrett; brother, Jeff Kuehl; nieces Joy (Chris Pham) Garrett, Sarah Schilke, and Rachel (Jesse) Johnson; nephews Justin Kuehl, Marcus (Whitney Nguyen) Garrett, Ryan (Holly) Winchel, and Lewis (Amber) Winchel; and many great nephews and nieces.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Peg Kuehl; a brother, Gary Kuehl; her grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

Margaret Marie "Peg" SCHMIEDER and Theron GREEN were married on 27 October 1987 in Camp Douglas, Cutler Township, Juneau County, WI.16,53 Theron GREEN, son of Lester GREEN and Grace SANFORD, was born on 10 November 1910 in La Farge, Vernon County, WI.16 He died on 16 September 2006 at the age of 95 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.16

Obituary Notes: "Theron E. Green, age 95, of Tomah, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at the Serenity House in Tomah. He was born Nov. 10, 1910, to Lester and Grace (Sanford) Green in LaFarge, WI. He was united in marriage to Martha Haugrud; she preceded him in death in 1972. He later married Dell Wanless; she preceded him in death in 1984, and in 1987 he was united in marriage to Margaret M. Kuehl at Bethel Baptist Church in Camp Douglas; she preceded him in death on Jan. 28, 2000. Prior to his retirement, he worked for the Dept. of the U.S. Army as a supply officer. Theron was ordained in the Christian Ministry by ECA on July 24, 1968. He served several congregations during his life. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and being actively involved in his church.

He is survived by a son, Richard Green; a daughter, Sharon (James) McKegney; three grandchildren, Valerie (Brian) Shafer, Rich (Jody) Green, and Melinda (Michael) Basso; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Willard (Ruth) Green. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael McKegney; a brother, Laverne; four sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. at the Tomah Baptist Church. Pastor Ronald Tobin officiated. Burial was in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Relatives and friends called at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., Tomah, on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be given in memory of Theron E. Green to the Tomah Baptist Academy or The Serenity House, c/o Tomah Hospice Touch."
