Descendants of Franz "Frank" Schmieder I

Franz “Frank” Schmieder I, and his wife, Josephine Barz, were born in Austria in the early-1800’s.
They emigrated to America in 1849 with at least two of their four children and settled in Monroe County. The children married into the Traber and Raabe families.

All of the original Schmieder families in Monroe County descend from Frank and Josephine.
