157. Bernice Irene WESTPFAHL was born on 22 October 1937 in Monroe County, WI.17 She graduated in 1955 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.82 from Tomah High School.

Bernice Irene WESTPFAHL and Charles Robert ZELLMER were married.16 Charles Robert ZELLMER, son of Friedrich ZELLMER and Emma BLOEDO, was born on 1 December 1937 in Wilton, Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.16,17 He died on 27 May 2004 at the age of 66 in Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac Township, Fond du Lac County, WI.16

Obituary Notes: "Charles R. Zellmer, 66, of Jackson, WI, died on Thursday, May 27, 2004, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac. He was born Dec. 1, 1937, in Wilton, to the late Frederick and Emma (nee Blado) Zellmer, married Julie Schwaller on July 23, 1983, at Peace Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.

Charles received his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and received his master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, after which he taught music for 38 years, first in Ellsworth and then at Brown Deer, where he retired in 1998. The couple had lived in Jackson for the past 13 years.

Charles served on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Music Educators Conference, conducted adjudication workshops for the Wisconsin School Music Association, was a member and past-president of the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association and also was an adjudicator and clinician for schools throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Iowa.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, David (Lori) of Warsaw, IN, Brian (Terry) of Waubeka, Jeff of Port Washington and Craig of Brown Deer; six grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn (John) Lydon of Sparta; a brother, Richard (Janet) of Ripon; the mother of his children, Bernice; other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by three brothers, Johnny, Darrel "Jake," and Bill, and three sisters, Lois Kroeger, Evelyn Zellmer and Lila Bernhardt.

A memorial service was held today (Monday), May 31, at 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2881 Division Rd., Jackson, with Pastor Paul Mittermaier officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah. The family will greet relatives and friends for a time of remembering on Monday from 5 to 6:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church Music Ministry." He was buried on 1 June 2004 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.16 in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
