(He could not be located in Portland Township in the 1920 Census. There was an Emil Schwandt, age 34, and wife Lily, age 26, living in Green Lake Township, Green Lake County, WI, and that may have been him.) Emil died in January 1972 at the age of 87.¹⁹

Emil SCHWANDT and Bertha LUECK were married on 7 November 1916 in Portland Township, Monroe County, WI.^19,21 Bertha LUECK, daughter of August Lewis LUECK and Amelia KLUMP, was born on 11 October 1896 in Wisconsin.^7,19 She appeared in the census in 1900 in Lafayette Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ She appeared in the census in 1910 in Wells Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ Bertha died in April 1986 at the age of 89.¹⁹
