Descendants of Carsten Severloh

Carsten Severloh and his wife, Ilse Marie Heerz, were born in the Hannover Province of Prussia in the early-1800's. They were the parents of Heinrich “Henry” Severloh, Sr., who married Maria “Mary” Zahrte, in Hannover in 1863.

Henry and Mary and their four oldest children emigrated to America in about 1870 and settled in Lincoln Township, where their six other children were born. Their children married into the Fick, Randall, Bock, Schultz, Schulz and Clay families.

Henry and Mary were the direct ancestors of all of the Severloh/Seflow families in Monroe County.
