George Simon SEIBOLD Sr. was born on 5 June 1832 in Baden-Wurttemberg Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,2,3,4 He emigrated in 1855 from Preussen (Prussia).⁵ (The 1900 Census indicates that he emigrated from Prussia in "1865" and had been in America for 45 years. His year of emigration was 1855 because he married in Wisconsin in 1859.)

. He appeared in the census in 1860 in Excelsior Township, Sauk County, WI.⁶ His surname was spelled "Seibolt" and his occupation was "Farmer." Living with him and his wife was "Wm. Gilbert Seibolt," age 7, born in Michigan. His relationship to them is not known.

George appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁸ He was living with his daughter Olive and her family. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.⁹ He was living with his daughter Olive and her family. (His surname is spelled "Sibold.")

. He died on 30 December 1920 at the age of 88 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^10,11 George was buried in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^3,12 in the Oak Grove Cemetery (Section OP, Block 4, Lot 22).

George Simon SEIBOLD Sr. and Armenia KNAPP were married on 29 September 1859 in Baraboo, Washington Township, Sauk County, WI.^1,5,10,13 According to the 1900 Census, they had 9 children, of whom 6 were living at the time.
Armenia KNAPP, daughter of James C. KNAPP and Jane Ann HOWE, was born on 27 September 1840 in Leeds and The Thousand Islands Township, Leeds and Grenville Counties, Ontario Province, Canada.^1,10,11,13 According to a Tomah newspaper article about her death, "she moved (from Canada) to Illinois for a few years, then to Baraboo where she lived until 1887, when they moved to Tomah."

Obituary Notes: "Mr. G. S. Seibold, d(ied) 6:40 am, Monday, 30 May 1904. M.E. Church by Rev. Harris. B(orn) Montreal, Can. 27 Sept 1840. Moved to Ill for a few y(ears), then to Baraboo where she was m(arried). Lived there until 1887, when they moved to Tomah." Armenia was buried in June 1904 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.^11,12,13 in the Oak Grove Cemetery (Section OP, Block 4, Lot 22).
