First Generation

1. Wilhelm Leopold "William" SIEKERT was born on 22 August 1838 in Moitzelfitz, Kreis Kolberg-Korlin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,2 He emigrated about 1880 from Preussen (Prussia).¹ He died on 3 June 1903 at the age of 64 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,2 He was killed while unloading railroad ties from a slow-moving flatcar east of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul railroad station. William was buried in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.² in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Wilhelm Leopold "William" SIEKERT and Henriette MAHNKE were married in 1860.^1,3,4 They had 22 children. Henriette MAHNKE, daughter of Johann MAHNKE and Chalottte HARTKOPF, was born in 1838 in Belgard, Belgard/Persante, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).² She died on 19 June 1877 at the age of 39 in Belgard, Belgard/Persante, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).²
