Descendants of Samuel Sizer

Samuel Sizer and his wife, Ann Ginn, were born in England in the early-1700's. One of their great-grandsons, Samuel Sizer, Sr., married Sophia Leighton in about 1840 in England and they emigrated to America with their two children in 1851, settling in Monroe County.

Their daughter, Sophia, married Franklin Albert Thompson, and their son, Samuel, Jr., married Lydia Burroughs.

All of the Sizer families in Monroe County descend from Samuel and Sophia.
