She died on 25 February 2007 at the age of 86 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.32 Obituary Notes: "Elinor Frances Neas, age 86, of Tomah, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Tomah Memorial Hospital. She was born July 24, 1920, to Rudolph and Alma (Weage) Zellmer in the Township of Ridgeville, Monroe County, WI. She was confirmed on April 21, 1935, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church by Reverend C.E. Berg. She was united in marriage to Edmund Neas Dec. 16, 1939. They farmed in the Town of Adrian until 1966, when they moved to Tomah. He preceded her in death. She was active in the Tomah Conservation Club and volunteered at the Tomah Senior Center. She was an accomplished pianist and played in a local band. She was an active and faithful member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and active in various ladies organizations at the church. For the past 2½ years she was a resident of Close to Home in Tomah. She is survived by a daughter, Donna (Richard) Handy, and a son, Martin (Nancy) Neas, both of Tomah; seven grandchildren, Gwen (Todd) Duncan of Camp Douglas, Jeanne (Jason) Gilman of Onalaska, Denise (Chris) Lepke of Chaseburg, Charlie (Kirsten) Handy of West Salem, Sherrie Neas of Milwaukee, Suzie Neas of Madison and Walter (Jennifer) Neas of Hayward; 16 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund; a sister, Esther Gerke; a brother, Gerhardt Zellmer, and a brother-in-law, Elmer Gerke. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 525 Superior Ave. Pastor Donald R. Buch will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in the Town of Tomah. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St., and at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the service." She was buried in Jacksonville, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.52 in the Mount Vernon Cemetery.
