Elisabeth Sophia "Auguste" SOMMERFELDT was born on 10 August 1867 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.^{2,7,8,12,15,18} She appeared in the census in 1870 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.² She was confirmed on 21 March 1880 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.⁷ at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Auguste appeared in the census in 1880 in Adrian Township, Monroe County, WI.¹² She died on 10 March 1948 at the age of 80 in Wisconsin.¹⁸ She was buried in 1948 in Wilton Township, Monroe County, WI.¹⁷ in the South Ridge Cemetery.

Elisabeth Sophia "Auguste" SOMMERFELDT and Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm POPP were married on 3 May 1894 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.^22,29 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. (The Monroe County Marriage Registration Index incorrectly lists his wife's name as that of his wife's mother, Wilhelmine Stolz.) Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm POPP, son of Friedrich POPP and Eva BINTSCH, was born on 25 April 1871 in Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).²⁹
