CREVISTON was born on 21 November 1948 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.29 He lived at his home in South Dakota in October 2001.39 He died on 15 December 2006 at the age of 58 in Yankton, Yankton County, SD.29 Obituary Notes: "Gary L. Creviston, age 58, of Yankton, SD, died unexpectedly at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, SD, late Friday evening, Dec. 15, 2006. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Yankton, with Rev. Tim Learman officiating. Burial was in the Yankton Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Ernest-Bowyer VFW Post #791. Visitation was from 3 to 9 p.m., Monday, at the Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton, with the a scripture service at 7 p.m. Visitations resumed one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers were Stanley Weiss, Randy Burkhalter, Frank Giganti, Brad Bartz, Lyndon Harrington, Richard Goff, Randy Schaap and Doug Nelson. Gary was born Nov. 21, 1948, in Sparta, WI, to Earl and Malzena (Heinz) Creviston. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. He served in the US Army from 1969 to 1971. He began working for the Bureau of Prisons in 1973 at Oxford. He married Adeline Weiss on Aug. 18, 1973, in Sparta. He transferred to the Federal Prison Camp in Yankton in 1988. In 2004 he retired. He had been an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Yankton Baseball, and Yankton Basketball, Inc. Gary’s memory is cherished by his wife Adeline of Yankton, two sons, Ryan (Michelle) and Paul (Amanda), all of Sioux Falls, SD; and three grandchildren, Brooke, Dylan and Bella of Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers, Jim (Lyn) of Spartaand Harley of Wilton; five sisters Lola (Elvin) Krause of Wilton, WI, Marlene (Richard) Goff of Sioux City, IA, Karen Geier of Wilton, Bonnie Geier of Sparta, and Linda (Randy) Burkhalter of Tomah. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lila and a brother Kenneth." Gary L.
