MILLER and Nora PILLSBURY, was born on 1 July 1919 in Glendale Township, Monroe County, WI.50,158,159 She died on 5 November 2010 at the age of 91.159 Obituary Notes: "Celia Jonevia Eckelberg, age 91, of Tomah, Wisconsin, went home to her Lord on Friday, November 5, 2010. She was born July 1, 1919, in the town of Glendale to Andrew and Nora (Pillsbury) Miller. She married Reuben Earl Eckelberg on January 15, 1937 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ridgeville. While they raised their family, together they farmed in the Wilton area until 1963. At that time they moved to Wilton where Celia remained “Grandma on the Hill” until 1998 when she moved to Tomah. Celia belonged to St. Paul’s Women of the ELCA in Wilton until she joined Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tomah. She was a member of the Wilton American Legion Unit #508 Auxiliary for 30 years. She will always be remembered for her generosity and kindness not only to family but also to friends and others. Her gift of sharing her heritage will be especially treasured by her children and grandchildren. The memories of Christmas gifts of homemade noodles and monster cookies will always warm their hearts. Celia is survived by five sons; John of Tomah, Eugene (Joann) of West Salem, Reuben (Pat) of Tomah, Raymond (Joyce) of Tomah, Jerry (Patti) of Wilton; one daughter, Ellen (Bill) Reneau of Tomah; one son-in-law, Duane Harmel of Janesville; 26 grandchildren, Michael Eckelberg, Jeffery Eckelberg, Sherri Hedding, Daniel Eckelberg, Douglas Eckelberg, Curtis Eckelberg, Bruce Eckelberg, David Eckelberg, Rhonda Reynolds, Jolene Glynn, Nancy Rice, Chip Eckelberg, Scott Eckelberg, Lisa Haines, Kevin Eckelberg, William Rumpe, Kathleen Holmes, Timothy Harmel, Joey Harmel, JD Eckelberg, Jennifer Thompson, Matthew Eckelberg, Patrick Eckelberg, Theresa Rhea, Karla Rynes and Carrie Tiber; 47 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie (Melvin) Johnson of Mauston; a sister-in-law, Edna (Leonard) Eckelberg of Tomah; many nieces, nephews and special friends Kay Snider and Janet Ladron. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Reuben; two daughters, Kathryn and Helen; her parents, eight brothers and six sisters; five brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 8, 2010, 11 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Pastor William Rice will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah. Family and friends were invited for visitation Sunday, November 7, 2010, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be given to the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tomah or to the Serenity House in her name. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements." .
